Frequently asked questions
Is there a free trial?+
Yes. Pro and Team monthly plans include a 7-day free trial. A card is required at signup but you are not charged for 7 days. Cancel anytime before day 7 and pay nothing. Yearly plans don't include a trial — they're discounted upfront instead.
How does billing work?+
Billing & licensing are powered by FastSpring (EU VAT handled automatically). Prices auto-localize to the buyer's region — EUR for EU, USD for the US, GBP for UK and 30+ other currencies. You can pay monthly or yearly, switch plans at any time, and cancel from your customer portal whenever you want.
What happens if my license expires or I go offline?+
NEXCUE Studio keeps running offline thanks to a signed grace period (10 days on Free, 30 days on Pro/Team). When you reconnect, the license re-validates automatically.
How many devices can I activate?+
Each user has 1 active device. You can deactivate a device at any time from the dashboard or via the desktop app.
Can I add more users to my Team plan?+
Yes. The Team plan includes 3 users. You can add extra seats for €11/month or €110/year per seat (or $12/$120 in USD). Manage them directly from FastSpring or your NEXCUE dashboard.
Why is the EUR price slightly lower than the USD price?+
USD is our base currency. EUR prices are anchored slightly below USD to keep our merchant net comparable after EU VAT and to land on clean, charm-priced numbers (€17/€45/€170/€450). FastSpring auto-localizes to GBP, JPY, AUD, CHF and 30+ other currencies at checkout.
Do I need to upgrade to use the desktop app?+
No — Free works on the desktop app with 1 active project and up to 25 cues. Upgrade to Pro to unlock unlimited projects, live integrations and advanced features.
Can I get a refund?+
Payments and refunds are handled through FastSpring per our Terms. If you have an edge case, reach out from the contact page and we'll help you review it. Once a refund is processed, the corresponding license is revoked automatically.
Do you have a plan for festivals, tours or one-off events?+
Yes — Enterprise covers event-temporary licenses (per-event activations, branded onboarding, optional on-site support). Contact us with your dates.
